In 1982, when Counsel Trust Company purchased 19 Toronto Street, the overall objective was to renovate, yet preserve as much of the existing structure as possible. The historic structure was successfully married with an economic and functional working environment by counterpointing the original design with the necessary changes to create a contempory head office and banking facility.
