Extensive expansion and renovation included upgrading the facility to meet building code requirements for safety and accessibility including provisions for a new elevator.  The addition of a new general purpose room, kindergarten, change rooms and washrooms with renovations to the existing library, daycare and lunchroom carefully integrated the new elements with the existing building while respecting and enhancing the traditional architectural features of the original building constructed in 1910.
